Your documents, filed properly — in the cloud drive you already own.

DriveFiler organises the statements, bills, receipts and records already sitting in your Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox. It renames them, files them into folders that make sense, and makes them searchable. Your files never leave your drive, and we never store them.

Why it is different

We organise your documents. We don't hold them.

Most document apps ask you to upload everything into their storage. DriveFiler doesn't. It works inside the drive you already pay for, which changes what happens if you ever walk away.

Your files stay yours

Documents live in your own storage account the whole time. We store only the categorisation you build around them — never the file contents.

Readable without us

Everything is filed into plainly named folders and files. Stop using DriveFiler tomorrow and you still have a complete, navigable archive — no software required.

Works offline, syncs everywhere

Each app keeps its own local copy, so you can file documents on a train and let it catch up later. Categorise on your phone; it's on your desktop.

How it works

Four steps, then it mostly runs itself

You connect your drive once and teach DriveFiler your categories as you go. After that, filing a document is a few taps.

Connect your drive

Sign in to Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox through their own consent screen. DriveFiler only ever touches the one folder it manages.

Add documents to the Inbox

Photograph a paper bill with your phone, import a PDF, or simply drop files into the Inbox folder from any machine — DriveFiler picks them up.

Categorise it

Choose the vendor, account, document type, owner, asset and any tags. DriveFiler reads the existing file name and fills in what it can work out for you.

It gets filed

The file is renamed and moved into the right Cabinet folder in your drive. Change a category later and everything filed under it is quietly re-filed to match.

Questions

Straight answers

Do you store my documents?

No. Your documents stay in your own Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox account for the entire time you use DriveFiler. What we store is the categorisation you build around them — vendor, account, document type, owner, asset, tags, dates, file names and folder paths — so that it can be searched and kept in step across your devices.

What happens to my documents if I stop paying?

Nothing happens to your documents. They are in your storage account, already filed into named folders, and they stay exactly where they are.

Your categorisation data is kept after a subscription ends so you can pick up where you left off — 90 days if a payment failed, 30 days if you cancelled, and 7 days if you asked us to delete it. Subscribe again inside that window and everything is restored exactly as you left it. You can also export the whole categorisation to CSV from the desktop app at any time — the export works without a subscription, precisely so it is available when you most need it.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — new accounts get one month free. We ask for a payment method when you sign up but do not charge it during the trial; when the month ends, it is charged and your subscription begins. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.

After that DriveFiler is $14.99 USD a year for up to 25 devices. See Pricing for the full details.

What access does DriveFiler need to my drive?

Enough to do the filing: upload documents you add, move and rename them when you categorise them, and delete one when you delete it in the app. It only acts inside the single folder it manages, and you grant that through your provider's own sign-in screen. You can withdraw it at any time, from DriveFiler or from your provider's settings.

Your storage provider's access tokens are held on your own devices, not on our servers.

Can I use it on more than one device?

Yes. A subscription covers up to 25 devices, and your categorisation syncs between all of them. Each app also keeps a local copy, so it keeps working when you are offline and catches up when you reconnect.

When does it launch?

The Windows and Android apps are built and in testing now. We are not announcing a date until we are confident in one — join the beta below and you will hear first, and we will not email you about anything else.
